This feature will eventually replace the existing Pulse functionality. The new system allows users to delegate periodic tasks, reminders, or specific information monitoring to ChatGPT for automatic execution. Currently, this feature is gradually being made available to Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users on both web and mobile platforms.This upgrade has made deep optimizations in task management and execution efficiency. The newly added “Scheduled” page in the sidebar allows users to view, pause, resume, edit, or delete tasks in one place. In terms of execution, users can not only specify exact times but also choose flexible time periods. For ongoing monitoring tasks, the system can automatically search the web or connected apps and actively push notifications only when key new content is found. To ensure system stability, the maximum execution frequency for scheduled tasks is limited to once per hour, and long-term inactive, unmanaged tasks will be automatically paused. With the launch of the new system, the existing Pulse functionality will officially stop service after 14 days.At the same time, OpenAI has also optimized the photo capture and upload process, reducing the time required to import photos. Industry analysts believe that the introduction of the scheduled task system marks ChatGPT’s gradual evolution from a traditional passive Q&A tool into an intelligent agent with active execution and continuous tracking capabilities, which will further expand the application boundaries of AI in personal productivity management and proactive information services.
