The new version introduced an AI assistant named “Abao.” Users can freely switch between the classic version and the AI version by simply swiping right within the app. This action marks Alipay’s official transition from a traditional “display-style” app to a “conversational” experience, fully implementing the new technological concept of “Dialog as a Service (DAAS).“In terms of product features, the AI version of Alipay has a cleaner interface, mainly consisting of clean chat windows and asset pages, while retaining high-frequency essential functions such as scanning and transferring money. Users can input their needs through text or voice, and “Abao” will automatically match and call the corresponding mini-programs or service interfaces. For example, when querying housing fund information, AI can simplify the complex cross-mini-program navigation into a “one-sentence direct access” interface, which users can complete by clicking confirmation. Currently, tens of thousands of services on the Alipay platform have been AI-compatible, covering various high-frequency scenarios such as government affairs, travel, and daily life.In terms of security and ecosystem collaboration, Alipay clearly stated the principle that “AI only acts as a helper, and the fund management rights belong to the user.” Any process involving fund changes and payments requires final confirmation by the user themselves; “Abao” does not directly touch the funds. At the same time, Alipay promises to continuously enhance its “you dare to pay, we dare to compensate” security system. In addition, Alipay announced the full opening of service entrances and open protocols, inviting government agencies, local merchants, and independent developers to join, aiming to bring AI capabilities to all users, including the elderly, by relying on its 1 billion user base.
