Previously, she was a writer and editor at MUO.Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 test will allow you toreposition the taskbarand change the size of the Start menu. The update, which isrolling out to Windows 11 Insidersin the Experimental channel, lets you place the taskbar on the bottom, top, left, or right side of the screen.Microsoft firstteased its movable taskbar in Marchas part of efforts to rebuildtrust among users. You can adjust the alignment of the icons inside the taskbar, as well as open the Start menu drawer from wherever you placed it. Windows 11 Insiders can access a shorter taskbar, too, which could come in handy for devices with smaller displays. There’s also an option to choose from a “Small” or “Large” Start menu.All the different taskbar positions.Image: MicrosoftThe Start menu’s layout will soon get easier to adjust as well, with new toggles that will allow you to show or hide the “Pinned,” “Recommended,” and “All” sections.
